For centuries one race was singled out for persecution by a church.
Hitler did not force anyone to serve in concentration camps there were plenty "decent" average people volunteering. Why was that? What had prepared that culture to breed so many monsters if not the constant mischivious litany and reminding that Jews had like pigs unable to appreciate the glory of Christ rejected Jesus teachings and demanded his execution?

Come on "some people love to hate", it's not christian preaching the problem, so it doesn't matter that you are being told that a race a group was responsible for the death of humanities Saviour the most gentle and sublime of all men the Son of God and you subject children to this litany year in and year out...don't you think that this is bound to have a negative effect in the emotions of those so brainwashed as to HATE the target group?

Clarification: When I say "Hitler did not force anyone to serve in his camps" I am referring to his troops, the perpetrators, not the victims ( I thought that was obvious) sorry for the confusion this may have caused

The Rwandan holocaust also has its origin in the divisions created by Christian ideology spread out by European missionaries.

to SmartKat Hitler may not have been a true Christian I agree but the fact is that a Christian country had few qualms to enthusiatically embrace Jewish persecution BECAUSE HE WAS PREACHING ON THE FERTILE GROUND OF CHRISTIAN ANTI-SEMITISM. Germans had the option of not working in concentration camps but they willingly volunteer to do so, many sadistic women among them. If interested to hear arguments in this direction read the well researched book "Willing Executioners"

Agreed. It is less to do with what one man's ideology was and everything to do with then fertile ground of Christian persecution of the Jews going back centuries. Hitler did not kill all those people himself.

Christ was a Jew. John the Baptist was a Jew. All twelve apostles were Jews. The vast majority of the early Church were Jews. Early Christianity was so connected to Judaism that it was not considered a separate religion at that time, but as merely a branch or denomination of Judaism. The "Christians" who hate the Jews are just people who want an excuse to hate someone. The Jewish culture has long taught hard work & careful investing. That has made them very successful. As a result, losers are jealous & want to tear them down.
Hitler liked to use the vocabulary of Christianity but if you read what he preached, he borrowed from many religions (Christian, Hindu, Armanism & the occult) as well as athiestic sources. The teachings of Darwin were used as an excuse for his "racial purity" program.
He basically borrowed anything that could serve his evil purpose & rejected anything that didn't. I often wonder how much this stuff did he actually believe & how much he merely mouthed to win support.
He definatly was not a true Christian by any means.
*EDIT*
Christianity does not breed bigotry of any kind!
The desire to judge is instintive, a remnent of the cut-throat "survival fo the fittest" environment of our genetic past. Any many look for scapegoats when bad things happen. The Germans used Jews as scapegoats for the depression & other troubles of the day. And you are using the Christians as scapegoats for the evil of the Nazi party! Poorly understood Darwinism was a stronger factor in the Nazi party than Christianity.
* Note * I am not blaming Darwin. Evil people will use any excuse to justify their evil desires. And they will twist any thing, truth or not, to fit their plans.

The hatred of one race for another is as old as mankind.
I'd like to cite the current hatred for Muslims. Also the Muslim
hatred for not only Jews, but Christians, Zoroastrians, Bahais
Hitler's hatred of the Jews had nothing to do with Christianity.
By the way you omitted to mention that Hitler also persecuted
Gypsies, the insane, Jehova's Witnesses and all opposition.
He even persecuted converts.

Jesus was Jewish. Only a handful of Jews--namely those Jews in position of religious power--sought Jesus' death, and the Romans did the actual execution. Many Jews wept for Jesus. Practically all of Jesus' first followers were Jews.
Jesus would never advocate the persecution or murder of his own people!
Also, remember the Pharoah, and remember Haman. There were Jew-haters long before there were Christians.
That said, many so-called Christians have misunderstood their Lord and thought they had the right to hate, persecute, and murder Jews. As a Christian, I apologize for their stupid, harmful behavior.
BTW, many Christians love the Jews as the original Chosen Ones of the Bible, and as the people who gave us Jesus!

Are you saying that is it Christian teaching to hate Jews because of the death of Christ on the Cross? That is very miss leading and very wrong. Some Jews high in position called for the death of Jesus because he called them out but it was not the Jewish race as a whole.
A True Christian realizes that Jesus had to Die on the Cross as payment for our breaking of Gods Laws. It was the Roman Government that put Jesus to death. But broken down to its most basic level it was me that did it. My crimes against a Holy God had to be paid for, a payment that I can not pay myself. (Can you???)
Hitler was not a Christian because his actions prove that. FACT! Anyone that chooses hate over another race, or anything else is not a true Christian. I can prove that without a doubt and without any question. To take a position that someone should be hated because they reject the teachings of Jesus, is rejecting the teachings of Jesus and proves that person is not a true Christian.

Ok maybe hitler didn't do it directly. But it was his followers who did it on his orders. So you can not say hitler didn't have no hand in it. Your right he didn't force anyone, it was the people, who took orders from him who did it. The jewish faith is seperate from the christain faith. there is a differance. As for the volunteers who served at the concentration camps. why don't you say who theese volunteers were. if not soldiers of the german army. I don't think the jewish people of that time period wanted to go live somewhere ,where the would starve themselves to death. Or to be subject to medical experiments, and say its ok. And i'm sure that they choose to do slave labor work, without any rest and for little food and no pay. and i'm sure no one volunteered, to burn their relatives in a furnace, just to see how human flesh smells. and i'm sure none of them volunteered, to take a bath in a gas chamber, just to see if it would work. Ask your self this would you have volunteered?

You can not speak your mind on this forum, only if it is against the Jew or Christian will it stand.
Anything else stands that is against the above. it is time for both Christian and Jew to join together to survive what is about to happen, Behold they are in the stars now my brethren.
The Dragon and the False prophet. both shall be thrown into the lake of fire, if those days will not be cut short,no flesh shall survive,if not for the hand of God all flesh would consumed.
29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Nazi oppression of Jews was the natural outcome of German Protestantism. Martin Luther, father of the Protestant reformation, was viciously antiSemitic. An original copy of Martin Luther's book "On the Jews and Their Lies" was exhibited at Nazi Party rallies in Nuremberg.
In his "Von Schem Hamphoras" Martin Luther writes:
" ... damned Jews ... the devil's children damned to Hell ... these devils ... prickly and poisonous snakes ... miserable, screaming Jews ... knaves and lying mouths ... full of all kinds of meanness and loutishness ... poisonous, mean worms ... full of sh!t ... the Devil riots within them ... Jew dogs ... "
This book was too hot to handle and was not translated into English until 1992. Apparently it was too embarrassing for the Lutheran Church to let the public see for themselves what kind of person Martin Luther really was. But the truth is now out. Today it is high time for Protestants, especially the fundies, to face the reality that Protestantism was founded on hatred of Jews, and set Germany on the course that led to the Holocaust.

There were alot of factors involved in preparing the German people to become so hateful. After, WWI inflation rose to a point that it cost 500 million marks to post a letter. National pride was at an all time low. They were hating the situation they were in and were ready to grasp at anything. Further, when Hitler came along, he pointed at a group of people to blame. He twisted religion and helped create monsters. Not too different than what is happening to Muslimism. People are twisting that religion to creat monsters, Terrorist. We can't begin to compare the scale of the hatred and loss of life between our current problem and the haulocaust. I think we all should learn about the haulocaust. If we don't learn from our past, we can repeat it. It is definately the biggest waste of human life in the 20th century.

Volunteering and not forced... What history books do you read?
When Hitler came to power, there was a world depression. Those to wanted jobs had to join the Nazi party.
You're suggesting every member of the "SS" was decent. You are mistaken!
Hitler looked more to the occult not Christianity.
Please state your sources. I must have been asleep in college. In truth they are more your opinion.

Hitler hated everyone and Christianity did not teach him that. Christianity says you are not suppose to judge others nor kill. Hitler killed the Jewish, he killed Christians that helped the Jewish in any way, and he hated Americans because he considered them to be mixed breeds. He turned on Italy and on Stalin. His purpose was ethnic cleansing.
For you and those who agree with you in blaming Christianity for that, then you are no better than those who blame all Muslims for terrorists.
