Any generic drug composed of oxycodone and acetominophen(Tylenol). Percocet is just one of the name brands for this preparation. Others include Tylox, Endocet and roxicet. The same narcotic, oxycodone is also prepared with asprin, this is where the Percodans, Roxiprin, and Endodans come in. Slightly less powerful is any drug containing hydrocodone. Vicodin, Norco, Loratab, and Lorcet are all preparations of hydrocodone and acetominophen. Both oxycodone and hydrocodone preparations come in various strengths, usually 5/500. (First number is mg's of the narcotic and second number is the mg's of the other angalgesic) They also come in 7.5/500, 10/500, 5/325, 7.5/325, 10/325, etc. Another drug, Tramadol is also used, acting on mu-opiod receptors. This drug is currently not controlled in the US and is advailible with a prescription. It is supposed to have less side effects and have less of an abuse potential, though some note that its is not as effective as other narcotic medications. Tramadol goes by brand names like Zydol, Ultram, and Ultracet (where it is paired with acetominophen.) Others in this class include Codiene, Morphine, and various other opiates and opiods, although the previously mentioned ones are the most commonly prescribed. Hope this answers your question!

A Percocet is 1 down from a Percodon, which are both for very
bad pain, however both addicting. After having a bad injury I was
put on Morphine, lower Percocet, lower Tylonol #3, all Narcotics
and like I said, addicting. Therfore, the Dr. takes precaucionary
measures to wheen you off of them.

Percocet, percodan, and tylox are in the same class of drugs; they are oxycodone. Vicodin and lortab are one in the same also; just different names for hydrocodone. The difference between Percocet and Percodan is Percocet has acetaminophen in it and Percodan has aspirin in it. Just do a goodle search and put in "oxycodone" and it will tell you all the drugs containing this narcotic ingredient.
