I choose to believe Christ as the Truth and Light of the world. Have you questioned, how has western Christanity changed from eastern Chritanity? Seems that western Christanity has "evolved" into something maybe, convenient? It has been enveloped by politics and twisted into something so different than its birth. Do you feel Christ's will is the evolution in America's Christanity, thoughts?

If your religion is not Christainity, justify your choice. Used Christanity for my personal understanding. Do not short cut your answers, think.

Why would anyone hold any faith, belief or position that they did not think was right?
A precarious position indeed to profess a faith that you cannot justify even to yourself (but hold, perhaps, because it is the social norm, or is expected in a particular post or office?)
I believe what I believe because I think it is more right, closer to reality, that what I used to believe. It may be that evidence or argument will require me to change my position a little or a lot. But my *objective* is to believe. what is right.
Studying the history of the Christian church was indeed one of the things that led me out of it into atheism.

As far as I'm concerned, Buddhism justifies itself logically. However through analytical study and meditation I've come to agreement with a great deal of what the Buddha taught.
I believe that Christ existed as one can learn about his teachings from gnosticism and his teachings in the NT (and not taking the NT out of context), and tossing away Paul and the other "personalized", "opinionated" additions. I don't believe in him as some omnipotent being.

I don't feel the need to justify the religion as right to myself or to others, I know it's right for myself. Maybe it's right for others too.
Western Christianity is its own species, it would seem, in comparison to Eastern Christianity. I'm not sure if it's fair to say that Eastern Christianity adheres more strongly to what Jesus originally intended, because honestly I don't know. Christianity is a beautiful faith, but what I'm seeing nowadays makes me wonder if modern Christianity has strayed too far away from what Jesus had taught.

Christianity is Christ based and politics has no place. Man kind has tried to change God's word to suit each agenda.
Instead of saying yes Lord when their spirit is convicted they say "let's change the wording of scripture...I'm sure God won't mind"
1Pe 1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Christianity in the west has become more worldly and "comfortable" than in the east due to the abundance of material goods.

Christianity is Bible based and anything else should be left out of it. Modern American Christianity is going back to the Bible.

absolutely not!
I do not need to justify my religion to you, and you do not need to justify your religion to me.
Religion or spirituality is between us and God, and is none of anyone else's business.
