I want to make brownies from scratch, but it calls for stick butter, and I only have a tub of country crock . Will this work?

Tub margarine has a much higher water content than stick butter. It will do in a pinch, but may affect the texture. Overall, the end result won't be horrible though. Happy baking!

Yes. Use the same amount. One stick of butter equals half cup.
