I got a 7 month old puppy from the pound about 3 months ago. When I got him, they said he was completely house trained. When I got him home, he pooed on the florr and peed. I thought that he was just getting used to his new environment, and that he would stop doing that. He was scolded, and then taken outside. The problem is, he still does it. I've set out a schedule for him, and he's taken outside regularly. he's outside for atleast an hour after he's eaten, but it's like he holds it untill he gets inside the house. I don't know what to do. Please help!
He's also been to the vet, so I know it's no problem there.

lol. I guess they lied about the housetraining. If you can't be around to watch him put him in a crate.

Puppy's will do that and he probably is marking out his territory
try standing outside with him and watching him When he does his buisness give him a treat From then on he will know that each time he does what he has to outside he will get a treat he will be more willing to do it
If you still have trouble from him try taking him to training school because he came from a pound dogs tend to get stressed especially at an early age when taken from there mothers and the original owners must have put him there for a reason Probably peeing and pooing was it

maybe there is a smell in your house that makes him pee and poop in the house. like a cat smell that would would make him do that. cuz he isn't used to ur house. cuz he was stuck at the human society for a long time. so he needs to get used to a different place. when they said that he was house trained, he may not be all the way trained to go to the bathroom outside. so what i would do is take him outside every half hour or so. then after he is done eating take him out after 10 to 15 minutes after eating and then maybe he may stop going to the bathroom in the house.

well good luck!! :)

You don't put him out you take him out and you wait until he goes before bringing him back in 9if you wait a reasonable time and he doesn't go you bring him in put him in his crate and wait 15 min. take him back out, when he does go you praise him..doNOT EVER scold him for having an accident..simply ignore it and clean it up..calling attention to it only serves as a reward however negative it may be.
You also need to keep him where he can be supervised no run of the house until he is potty trained. He needs to go out every hour to start as well as after eating, after play, after naps..when he can't be supervised he needs to be crated.
