Hi! I have been taking Lupron injections for 2 years for breast cancer. There is a lot of new exciting info about this treatment out there. Here are some sites with info:

http://www.timesleader.com/mld/timesleader/living/16318524.htm
and

www.breastcancer.org

- just search on lupron.

The side effects are like those of menopause, hence the new name "Chemopause". I'll be honest, the shots drive me crazy sometimes, but on the other hand, I am still here! I was diagnosed with hormonal BC at 42, so putting me into menopause was a must. I had surgery, CMF chemo, radiation,
and now the monthly injections along with Arimidex, and Boniva to maintain bone strength. Lupron does cause osteopenia or porosis, so you'll need to take something for that, too. I like Boniva because it is monthly instead of weekly.

I hope I was helpful. Best of luck to you - and remember- the side effects are worth survival!
