Tylenol (acetaminophen) IS NOT an NSAID...It has a totally different mechanism of action that is still not quite understood...

Advil (or ibuprofen) is a NSAID...

Having said that, neither is really "better"...

If you have liver problems or drink alot, Tylenol is probably not a good choice.

If you have kidney problems or stomach ulcers, then Advil is probably not a good choice.

How it helps your pain also is determined by each INDIVIDUAL person. Some people respond better to Tylenol while some respond better to Advil.

they are both NSAIDS , advil being ibuprofen and tylenol acetaminophen. Depends on your system. For some A works better for others T.I prefer A. There is no science involved.
