i have some painfull swelling near urethra not sure if it is serious?

You didn't even bother to identify if you are male or female. Guess it doesn't really matter to you. If you have a painful swelling "anywhere", go to the nearest hospital or to your doctor.

It might not be serious, but if it sure is painful, why are you asking people on the internet? We can't diagnose it or prescribe you a cure! Call the doctor, honey! And until you get in, have a nice warm sitz bath.:)
