1983 Volkswagen Quantum. i had never seen one before and haven't since! some guy who repaired it at one time at a foreign car repair place said there were only something like 5,000 sold to the US. but ne way it was a POS... gray scratched up with torn interior and a sunroof stuck open (kept the rain out with a black bag) lol... i bought it from some guy down the street for $400, he wanted $500, i thought i was getting a deal but he probably should have paid me to take the car off his hands, lol

In 1965 I paid $250. 00 plus I had to buy tires and do some minor repairs on a 1958 Chevy something or other. I wrecked it 4 years later. Those were the days.

Was a brand new, ordered to spec 1985 Hyundai Pony GLS 1.6L & 5 speed, sold in Canada never in US. Was very similar to the Chevette, rear drive, actually had leaf springs, a carb and points, great to work on/very old and simple design. Never let us down, not the greatest heat in winter though. Paid $9,300 total out the door including a tank of gas, plates and everything that was basically available on options list, except the auto tranny. I drove it for 3 years then gave it to my mother who drove it along with my younger brother for another 12 yrs and still got $990 for it in 2000. Passed our emissions test and certification when sold.

My first car was and still is a 96 Oldsmobile Aurora, I have had it for about 3 years now. At the time that I brought the car it was on sale for $7,000 but I brought it cash for $5,000. The sales person was honest with me and told me when you have hardcore cash it can knock down the car price by nearly two grand.

'49 Chevy fastback. Paid $35. for it and drove it home. The year?
1960. YEAH, I wish I still owned it, as it's probably worth a bit more than $35.

My first car was a 1991 International Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. It was actually a pretty nice car. My mom gave it to me.

My first car was a Ford Probe. I paid about $6,000, and my parents covered the rest for me. We got a good deal since it was a "program car." I loved that car!
