I have a 56" Samsung DLP HDTV. The picture for HDTV and DVD is amazing and full of life. But, the picture for the standard channels do not look up to par or even as good as my cheaper television. I know that a bigger TV will make the flaws bigger/worse but is there any products that I could buy that may help with this picture? I currently use a Monster HDMI Cable from my cable box to my TV. Thanks!!

There's no product that can help with the picture quality on your TV, you need to subscribe to a High Definition Package to get the best possible picture. Standard broadcast is 480i and when using with an old tv you can't see the flaw because your old tv can't display high resolution. On a HDTV, the native solution is going to be at 720p or more. Your tv must upconvert the 480i signal to its native resolution, that's why the picture quality look worse.

I don't think the problem is with the cable( HDMI ) you are using, and I don't think there is any product that will improve the picture on non HD channels. DLP technology, while good for HD, has poorer color saturation on Digital channels, while LCD has a high quality color saturation, due to the different technology. The image is brighter with DLP, but the poor color saturation makes the picture less rich and vibrant.

i will guess that what you're looking is that the photograph is amazingly blocky. you need to attempt something that's HD (like an X field or PS3) on it & see if the photograph high quality is greater helpful with that. in spite of if that's then i might purchase A HD Sky field & watch television applying that particularly of generic sky!

I had the same problem. At least where I live Direct TV makes you pay an extra 10$ a month for hd quality.
