The first step in getting out of the lazy rut, is to do something small, but productive. Then give yourself a mental pat on the back, then go out and do something a bit bigger, and do the same. The idea is to replace your bad habits with good ones. In a few weeks it becomes automatic to where you don't even think about it. You just sit back and look at all the cool things you did and start thinking about more cool things to do. Motivation begins with action, not vice versa.

Sounds like you would really benefit from a good counselor to help you take a look at these things & what could be behind them.
Whether full-blown depression, simple procrastination, or something in between, aiming for the core of the issue is your best, most thorough approach to getting a handle on this and getting past it successfully.
Best wishes, you should be enjoying some success soon!

you could be mildly depressed or you need to eat healthier. there are studies that show that unhealthy eating can cause you to have no energy. i know it sounds silly but even just drinking 8 glasses of water a day can give you a boost. it has worked for me because i always had no motivation. most of the time if you feel lazy you are also lacking in certain vitamins. It is crazy how much your physical affects the mental.

Oh man buddy, I know exactly what you mean. I have to start going to the gym... I've had a membership for the past couple months, and I went a lot at first... then I stopped going so much. I have to go!!! I'll go tonight now... you've inspired me.
My advice: maybe you need like a buddy, you know? I'll be your buddy! lol

first step is to really want to stop being lazy. you have to really want to stop or else you are going to just continue to make excuses for yourself. sometimes, you just have to do it. get up and go do something. no more sitting in front of the computer. no more sitting watching t.v. no more being lazy. good luck!

Find something that gets you excited. Girls, sports, money, fun, etc. Stimulation, a reason to get up and go every day.
