You cannot ever know for sure..... and since he IS known as the Prince of Lies (modern Christians and Muslims only however)..this would be a perfect way to go.
Then again, from a Hebrew point of view..... they aren't worried are they? After all, Christianity is following a false deity... Islam is following a false prophet...... and if you are right..... both were the 'Prince of Lies'.....
So the Hebrews are good to go....!!!

Peace
My dad is a Sufi. Here is his answer.
Ibis was born of fire and scorching winds. Satins are many. The bible dose has misinformation, prophets do not sleep with their daughters, get drunk, and run around naked. The vial is gone and they speak for god. So it is true the bible was corrupted and parts are missing. There is still a lot of important teachings in it the Sufi study it a lot. By praying and spiritual study, you will be showed the truth. Reality true reality is in the heart of the true seeker. Seek and you will find ask and it will be given to you [what you need not what you want]

According to the scriptures the truth is given to us in Psa.....
Psa 119:142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your LAW IS THE TRUTH!!!
Now read in Genesis 3:1 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die.
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Is the world keeping The Laws of Yahweh? Does Satan keep the Laws of Yahweh? NO and NO!
Can't you see the deception that is taking place in the world? It's so plain that even a child can see. Open your eyes people!
Psa 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
Wasn't the serpent essentially telling eve that you don't have to Keep the Laws of Yahweh?

Satan is the prince of darkness and the father of all lies. I just wanted to get that straight. The Bible is written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit. You can either believe it or not. It's your choice.

You know i've debated this question a million times, and I don't get one specific answer from my christian friends, i have nothing against them believe me, and there is no way of knowing for sure. Because it could as well be Lucifer decieving them into believing that. And who knows who really influenced the bible, my atheist friend seems to know that it was some guy who got stoned lol. But anyway, it could also be true, and the real answer there is, you really have no way of knowing until something happens, you know?

I have ask myself the same question at times. But it wouldn't make sense, if it was to deceive the people about God. Why would there be good things about God. If satan wants to turn us against God, why would satan, say in the bible, there is only one God, give him you mind body and soul. And why would satan, want us to believe in jesus, if he is against jesus's teachings. Why would satan bother to say good things about Jesus, saying "this is God's son ,in whom i am well pleased.' Why would satan want us to believe in jesus, if satan is against him?And if God and jesus are not what they seem, then why would satan lie about God and Jesus? If everything in Jesus wasn't as pure and good. why would it matter what Jesus did, and the work. Jesus performed. Why not prove Jesus wrong when jesus was alive.

It is said that Bilbo Baggins was eleventy-one at the start of "Lord of the Rings".
Can one therefore assume that Bilbo Baggins is a real creature?
