My best advice to that is to talk to the person as much as possible and first make sure you really want this person in your life. If you're absolutely sure bite the bullet and say: I really like you do you see more than friendship in our future? Life is too short to be shy , don't sit wondering what if, just do it.

I like to tease. I guess it's kinda childish, but I'm really shy, and when I act silly, it's the only way I can get my point across that I really like someone.
