Energy from the heat of the Earth's interior. Only practical in areas where hot material comes close to the surface, like areas with hot springs or geysers.

Geothermal energy is practical everywhere - it just depends on what use is planned.

Generating electricity - only practical where heated material is close to Earth's surface -- just as the people before me said.

Helping reduce energy bills at home - practical almost anywhere. It requires a heat pump and some digging, but the system can help heat a home in the winter and cool it in the summer.

Lots of websites about this. Just Google.
