i don't no if he is telling the truth he says it on the phone and stuff but never to my face, i like him alot and all but he never compliments me or any thing he never tells me i am pretty but my friends and his friends say he likes me alot, well some other epeople say he is just playing me what do i do

if he can't tell you while looking into your eyes - assume it's a lie, or not a total truth. i personally have a hard time giving (or getting), compliments, so that shouldn't be a high thing on your list.

you can talk to him about this. you can ask him why he doesn't compliment you. perhaps you react negativly when he does and learned not to. if you seem happy, and give a positive reaction maybe he'll give more. as for me, i could never figure out the timing.

as far as playing - you can only tell by his actions. does he push for sex? or the two of you simply being together?

Trust him, until HE gives you a reason not to trust him anymore. Think about do the people who say he is playing you, know him better than you? If not, then surely their thoughts have no basis. I'm not a guy, but I will say things on the phone and on IM or email a lot easier than I can face to face. It doesnt mean that I mean it any less. It's just the comfort level is easier.

You shouldn't be asking us the question; ask him. I always say, "I love you." to my gf before I get off the phone. I don't really say it that much in person. Your question has kind of enlightened me about that aspect of the relationship. I think I'm going to tell that I love her when she gets here tonight. Maybe it'll be the first thing I say to her.

I would seriously just talk about and ask him what the deal is.

It could be that he doesn't say it to your face, because he's shy about the whole thing. However, if he says it on the phone and stuff, you should confront him about it! That way if he can't answer you straight up, then he's probably just playing you!

Ask him in person POINT BLANK and watch what he does when you say "I love you hunny how do you feel about me?" If HE LOOKS AWAY --then LOOK OUT --he might be cheating on you or something is going on! Well just because he doesn't tell you that you are pretty doesn't mean much/
It's his actions that should be the first clue on how he feels.
He can say loving stuff all he wants but if he doesn't back it up with actions then he's just lying.

Maybe he is just shy. Try to have a serious talk with him and ask him these things. Guys don't like serious talks very much, so keep it short. Just tell him how you feel and maybe he will try to open up more and express himself. Good luck!
