So much bad advice (and some good here) Laws in the UK change all the time...SInce 1978 it is a legal requirement to have TWO rear viewing mirrors of which one of them must be an offside mirror Using a normal car as an example..... if the passenger door mirror is knocked off then as long as you have the internal mirror, then you are okay. Not long ago I was pulled and booked for my car being packed in a way that obstructed my internal rear view mirror. I got off as the police didn't know that have a door mirror on either side meant I didn't need the internal mirror I pretty much only use my door mirrors (from a lifetime habit of driving trucks) but I always make sure I have 3 mirrors fitted as when was made
