That is a difficult question, because caffeine is so much in our diet. Sodas, Chocklet etc. So, the answer is NO! I'd just say to use caffeine in moderation. Just like everything else, too much is not good for us. I also found a website that maybe will answer more of your questions. www.arthritis.org

well as far as I know yes....They tell you to reduce the amount of fat in your diet...Do not consume milk, dairy products, or red meat..Avoid caffiene, citrus fruits, paparika,salt, tobacco, and everything containing sugar...but of couse they really don't tell you why..Don't ask your Dr. cause they won't tell you they want the money..If you have a health Food store in the area they have books you can read...Or if you have a Homeopathic Dr...theyll help...
