You need to be with him a little longer to know for sure. I can't say whether he's serious or not but it has only been 2 weeks, so time will tell. Try not to get too wrapped up in these "promises" yet until you get to know him and his intentions with you. Good Luck!

I've never wanted to take care of anyone after knowing them for 2 weeks, and that includes my students! Maybe I'm just a jerk, or maybe the guy you're dating is a "latcher." He latches on to any woman who pays him attention and wants to smother her with his love and adoration. If you still like him, tell him to take things slow and just enjoy each other. If you're asking this because you think it's weird and kind of creepy, go with your gut. It probably is.

I think he's full of it. 2 weeks is way too soon to say something like that and mean it. Anyone that says crap like that is usually so full of sh*t that it seeps out of every pore of their body. He's not serious, he's just trying to get between the sheets or remain there, depending on how far you two have gone.

Too soon to be sure. i think he is telling you what you want to hear. Maybe he is sincere but they relationship has only been 2 weeks. Give it some time and the truth will come out.
