i'm fourteen and pretty cool but for some reason i can't get a girlfriend and have never had one. I don't think im ugly and i've seen some of the nerdest people with girlfriends but I kinda freeze up when i get around beautiful girls or any girls pretty much, and don't have the balls to ask one out. what should i do?

First of all its really rude to call people nerdy and make remarks about how they can have a girlfriend and you can't......maybe its your personality! Furthermore, you are fourteen, you should be playing in a sandbox and chasing butterflies. Don't grow up too fast! What I mean is that when you are that young relationships arent even serious so don't put so much pressure on yourself. You'll have a lot more fun when you realize that its normal to be nervous and its okay to be single, especially when you are so young.

Dont worry about it dude. You will work your way into everything. The surprising thing is the people you see who "always get the girls" are generally the most insecure people you will meet at your age. Just be yourself and hang around friends with girlfriends and when confidence raises (as has been said a few times in the answers) you will find it far easier.
You might even change your name from KornBread into player, you never know ;)

well, 14 eh? i never had a girlfriend till i was 15 and how i met her was from work. if/when you have a job and see a girl everytime you go to work, it makes it easy to talk to them. you'll find a lot in common by talking to them... that breaks the ice so that one day (within1-2 wks) you'll be able to ask her out on a date and move on from there. just have fun and do fret. it'll happen sooner or later.

GET SOME BALLS!!! girls like to be asked out instead of asking you out ......relax start talking to girls more (and maybe you need a new haircut or diffrent clothes)soo get out there and start asking don't fear rejection...even if you do get rejected its just experience and don't take anything personal(thats what they want you to do

your still young dont worry about it sometime soo you will see a girl worth building your confidence up, you will get over your fear! dont worry your just young :) it gets better
