I am not a gamer, so, really not speak from experience. What I would think it the 64 bit be better. But, your Processor and Mother Board may need to support 64 bit and your games. That about all I can offer to help.

Windows XP is a 32 bit operating system. Vista is the first 64 bit operating system. From preliminarily testing, PC World Magazine did not notice any difference in performance between 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Vista. Multi tasking was only one area that there was a significant improvement. Sorry.

32bit. I'm not even sure if most games would run on the 64 bit version, they'd need to be compiled specifically for that OS and as practically no one runs the 64 bit version it's very unlikely they would be. Plus you'd need a 64 bit processor in your machine or you wouldn't even be able to install the 64 bit version of XP.

The normal 32 bit version of XP is what 99.99999% of the world use and it's what games are written for, stick with that one.

Better option is 32bit because most applications are ment to work at 32bit systems which are the most common and used right now.
Also the most drivers for hardware are created for 32bit systems.
Hypothetically 64bit are more functionally because at the same time more data are being processed, which means faster and better pc.But problems such as these i told, make u prefer Windows XP from windows Vista(which are only 64bit and not all the builders have drivers to support it).
