Frontline plus works very well..you should be seeing fleas attracted to it..it means it's working. The fleas that get on your dog will die as will the eggs & larve. As long as there are fleas in the enviornment fleas wil lget on your dog..Skin so Soft isn't necasarily a good or safe product to be usingespecially as often as you use it.
You need to treat your house as well as all pets in your house and you need to vacumn your house every single day..repalcing the bag after every vacumn.Throw the bag away in an outside trash container, not inside. You can get a safe household flea spray at your vet.
What you have been doing isn't helping at all.
Do NOT use boric acid around pets. Also bombs are pretty worthless...they only go up in the air and down on surfaces not down where fleas are. Fleas go around baseboards, under furniture, etc.

1) Stop bathing your dog every week, you are over-drying the skin, and this will cause the dog to scratch, it's not a good thing for the dog. If anything only wash your dog once a month. And never use human shampoos on a dog unless it's the Johnson and Johnsons baby shampoo which has a neutral PH.
I'd like to know why you think your dog has fleas....is it because it is itching a lot or because you have actually seen the fleas?
You really should be visitng your vet.
You could actually not be applying the flea treatment correctly and if you're washing your dog every week you are removing the treatment.

Frontline Plus does work I have used it on both my dog and cats. However, I would recommend that you not bathe your dog 3 days before or 3 days after its application. The product works like this: once applied the product remains in the fatty layer of skin, when a flea bites your pet the flea will die in 24 hours.
Advantix work as well, however, if you have your pet groomed professionally I would recommend that you ask them to use an Oatmeal Shampoo rather than a regular shampoo on your pet.
If you are having that much of a problem with fleas you need to treat your house as well, vacuum carpets, baseboard heat etc. really really well and dispose of the vacuum bag immediately. Also wash all of your throw rugs and any pet bedding too. Good Luck.

Sounds as if your flea control may be your environment... not the products you are using. Fleas live on the dog only 10% of the time (to feed).... the other 90% is in the home, grass, wood, etc in your environment. Probably, at this point, your best bet would be to call in an exterminator. Same day as the job is done on your home and yard make sure your pet is de-flea'd at your Vet's office or at a groomer's shop. Also make sure you dispose of any vacuum bags you have used during the flea infestation.

I know how you feel. I'll tell you what you need to get one of those bug bombs and do your house. There is a pill that my vet gives the dog that kills fleas almost instatnly. It does make the dog tired but it works. He dosen't get it very often but if your house is done prehaps it will help we even had to spray the whole yard. But we tackled it. At the start of flea season we do treat with frontline. Good Luck glad you haven't given up.

First off vacum your home real good and put lime in your yard. I have never had a problem with Frontline it has always worked for me. But you do need to keep the carpets clean to so shampoo them and use frontline again that should take care of the problem

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.
