create a being more powerful than himself, or more knowledgeable. What about equal to himself? After all, the second "God" would be a creation, which seems to be outside of the definition of God. If you appeal to faith as a way out, you make room for the "faith" as the 9/11 hijackers (meaning faith is compatible wuith any action). Just look at the highly lauded "faith" of Abraham and his willingness to sacrifice Isaac. If you make the claim "human intellect (logic, etc.) cannot comprehend God," you make a claim which undermines itself. So how does one hold these beliefs in any way that is not ultimately absurd?

I wish I knew the answer to your question, but I don't. I agree is it ultimatley absurd!! I listen to some survivers of 911 and they would say something like " I am so thankful to God for letting me live thru this" and I am thinking, well why would God just let all the others die? And then " thou shall not kill" and yet "God" told others they must sacrafice a lamb or person ! There is more killings over religous groups etc.... no, to me it does not make anything comprehendable about a God that lets certain people live thru 911 and other horrible events and then when I think about the Holocaust.....and many other situations.....well I don't wish to upset anyone so I will let it go now.
