i worked with this girl who was engaged to this guy whose mother was a real nut case and objected to the marriage. the mother was invited to the wedding but refused to go but this girl kept warning ppl she would and she did...right as this girl got to the altar the guys mother walked in dressed in black with a black hat, black gloves and black veil that covered her face, she was carrying roses she had dyed or dipped in black some of them with the heads cut off and she was tossing some of the black petals along the aisle as she slowing walked to the front pew and set down and sobbed the entire time. it was the creepiest thing i'd ever seen, no one really knew what to say, several of the ushers stepped up to stop her and the preacher whispered something to the bride and groom but the bride waved them off and just shrugged...it was weird. the service went on as normal except you could hear her sobbing throughout it. afterwards everyone greeted the bride and groom and they acted happy but the mother in law just slowly walked out the door and didn't say anything to anyone....it was like being in a movie. i heard a couple of years ago the couple were very happy and had a baby, the guy tried to mediate and make things better but i guess once his mother did this he told her to stay away. it was really weird as the girl he married was a very nice girl.

I went to my cousins wedding and after the minister asked if anyone objected my cousin turned around and then my uncle stood up and said HELL YES I DO! and so my cousin flipped everyone off. The funny thing is my family is a bunch of hicks and the brides family is really up to do and they were very upset while my family laughed really loud. the minister knew my family so he just told my uncle to have a seat and knock it off and the ceremony continued.

IF it happens usually the officiant suggests the offender be taken outside or goes outside with them to find out the reason. In rare instances the police have had to be called. Usually it's a digruntled ex.
There are some that are opting to have this removed from the ceremony. Used to be that because they didn't have the means of communication it was asked to the guests in case they knew that either person didn't have a legal right to marry.

No, but we did go to an outdoor wedding where the neighbor's dog barked right at the moment that the preacher asked if anyone saw any reason that the couple should not be joined in marriage. ---We nearly died trying not to laugh. Fortunately, the couple getting married were so wrapped up in each other at the time that they didn't notice....They did end up getting divorced a few years later, though, so maybe the dog knew something that we didn't ;-).

I have, but it was a comedy wedding. When the question was asked, an obviously pregnant woman stood up, shouted "Me!" and ran out of the room crying.

Not yet, but I'm certain that I will at some point. I end up at the oddest weddings and receptions.
