I just started dating a woman this week. I have been talking to her on the phone and everything. I'm just wondering does a long text message make me look needy. I don't use texting that much and don't know how long a message should be, and what is appropriate. All the text I ever get from women are short. Maybe a sentence or two. Should text messages not be longer than a sentence or two?

If it's rare that you text, then a long one would show that you care :P. A few sentences would be nice :) and she shouldn't think you're needy...especially if it's something sweet.

Why didn't you go with him or show up there......I am not putting you down, however this is what I would have done. I would have made it a point to talk to her, who cares what his co workers thought, it is only a job....you are his wife....I would not have created a sean....I would have made her very uncomfortable though talking about what goes on in our house, telling her about the children, how affectionate he is at night and how lucky I was to have been married to him for 20 years. I think next time you have the opportunity, spill the home beans on her. As for him......if you can in the next couple of days, get the kids out of the house for an entire night. When they are gone, put his bags on the porch. I am certain as you are that there is something brewing with him. Once his bags are on the porch, he will start thinking about you and his life with you. If he picks them up and leaves, which I doubt that he will......he will want to fight with you...but if he does leave it will be just pride and for show....once you take away the comfort and love he has received for all of these years he will realize what he is loosing and want to fight for it. Right now all he has is an upset and hurt wife and the composed other woman. It is attractive to a man when a woman stands tall and makes a stand. No matter how badly you want to grovel, don't. Tell him like it is - you aren't and can't live like this. I wish you the best. Turn the tables on him.

You should do whatever you think it's appropriate ...
Personally, I always text my boyfriend a long text ... just because I like it that way. His replies are random too, sometime long ... but mostly short but nice and sweet! As long as you get your point across, I'm sure it doesn't matter whether you text a long or short message. Maybe you should ask her, that way you know for sure. I also asked my boyfriend at the beginning too, whether I text him too much or too long or whether it bothers him or not. He said that he likes it alot when I text him ... so yeah ... there you go.

Sent a text instead of having a short conversation. If you need to tell her something like, "can you let the dog out," then a text will do rather than a call. If you want to have a long-drawn-out conversation with her, then call. Or, if she's upset about something, and you'd rather type it than say it, either email her, or condense it into a text.

Women like phone calls. If you must text then make it short. We women like long conversations on the phone, plus it romance. My husband call me on a pay phone and it was raining and I didn't know he was call from a pay phone and we stay talking for over two hours when I realize where he was call from, so I invited him over and he has gone home yet, it's been 14yrs.

It depends - I tend to write long messages - I like to express my message eloquently. Some people write in abbreviations, without punctuation - maybe I am just too traditional...

My openion: well write as much as you want.Us girls write them short so it will be short and sweet, so you will write to us more.No you dont look that needy. Sometimes you should make it as short as possible.It just depends on what the ? is about.
