Before the Holocaust there were innumerable pogroms in the Russia and Eastern Europe. All the hatred and animosity against the Jews can be traced back to the glorification of Christ by his followers. Is this what God expected to happen? Or if as the Bible mentions you know the tree by its fruits. Christianity gave Hitler its justification for the Final Solution one if not the greatest crime against humanity ever perpetrated. Pope John Paul II apologized to the Jews for the pasivity (or complicity) of christians while the Holocaust took place. The fruits of Christianity are dubious to say the least if not evil.

Mel Gibson's intention in giving us the ultra explicit movie "Passion" was to indulge in his visceral anti semitism. It has been proven by his loose mouth when drunk....

To Mahal: "the migrations lit the fire" and what started the fire if not the preachings of Orthodox christians in Russia?
Catholics were till the 1960's singling out the Jews as the killers of Christ in their daily rituals, it was only relatively recently that they are trying to mend things with them.

to L'Chaim: thank you for you comment. You mentioned the word "pepetrators" have you read the book "Willing Perpetrators"? In it the author reveal that the average German christian knew about what was going on and tacitly approved of concentration camps. Hitler did not force anyone to kill Jews THERE WERE PLENTY OF VOLUNTEERS.

It was the Roman Catholic Church that started "racism" by labeling Jews a race. Hitler only built on what he learned from the Church. Jews quit proselytizing because the Church was killing anyone with "Jewish blood." Ruth, the matriarch of the Davidic line was the first Jewish convert. If her children were not Jews, then none of the Davidic kings were Jews either!
Jews could either convert to Christianity, leave Spain, or die. Many chose to convert to Christianity, but were still not accepted as Christians because they had Jewish blood. Hitler had very experienced teachers! And how many "real" Christians turned their back and allowed the atrocities to continue. How many "real" Christians were the perpetrators. If not "real" Christians, then they were at least products of the Christian culture.

I don't think this is true. You really can't expect this kind of irrational point of view to be shared by everyone. For most of humanity, murder is just too much to stomach watching much less doing.
The holocaust was the culmination of the pogroms of the early 1900's, no doubt, but likely not for the reasons you're thinking. When you get a chance, watch "Fiddler on the Roof". At the end of the story, the Jews in the Russian villages are moving from Russia into Eastern Europe, and this is based on an historical event.
Between 1900 and 1935, tens of millions of Jews fled the "Pale of Settlement" in the Soviet Union and became outcasts in every country they tried to settle in with only a few exceptions, much like Mexicans are becoming outcasts in the US today. Jews were seen as outsiders who didn't belong and were causing all sorts of social woes.
Hitler wrote that while he was growing up on the streets of Vienna, he began to understand the problems these Jews were causing and he was exposed to the growing hatred among Austrians for this influx of outsiders.
So the holocaust was really caused by widespread anti-Semitism and these migrations are what lit the fire.

Jesus never, never, never called the Jews the spawn of Satan. Jesus is a Jew. Why do you propagate hate? The Pope and the Catholic Church went along with Hitler to convert the Jews. Christianity had nothing to do with this. This was an evil Pope under the banner of Christianity. Nothing that Pope did was Christian. Popes are just men. They do not represent the entire Christian community or other religions. The last Pope even apologized for the Crusades. It is even prophesied by a Catholic cardinal that the last pope will be the false prophet. This church man has too much authority. Neither Hitler's pope or Hitler were Christian. To be a Christian means to know Christ Jesus and believe in Him. Christ created us all. Why would Christ Jesus say some are superior to others? It would never happen.

No Christianity did not cause the Holocaust. It was caused by a murderous , killer a real lunatic. So get off the blame game against Christians. It is illiterate people who don't know which leg to stand on or which way to go. Always grabbing the loose ends. If God has instilled Wisdom into your Soul, then it shouldn't be that hard to see. Ya and it also says that the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. Hitler was a scum bag and a real nut cake. So don't you dare compare us(Christians) to Hitler. Don't you dare blame the Christians for the Holocaust. Shame on you.

Immediately, by your reasoning, I can see that you have never studied the historical accounts found in the Biblical Old Testament or other companion histories that pre-date the life of Jesus Christ. The Jews have been persecuted since they were first established. Jews have faced captivity, torture, and reproach throughout their long history. Your premise is poorly researched. Do over...and then come to ask with some actual insight.

Typical, Blame the action of an insane socialist (lefty) dictator on christianity. So you're saying its the christians fault that there was a holocaust not Hitlers? At least you're not denying the holocaust occured although that will probably be your next revelation.

I don't see how the Bible gave an excuse for anti-Semitism.Yes,a few Jews had a hand in bringing Jesus to trial. But it were the Romans who sentenced and put Jesus to death. The Bible refers to Jews as the apple of God's eye,and His chosen people.
There were also many Christians, ones like Corrie ten Boom, who protected and hid the Jews during Hitler's reign.

Your logic is so far off it's not even funny. There is no way you can blame Christianity for that kind of atrocity. The only one you can blame is the sick twisted idiot that did that heinous crime against humanity. Anyone with half a brain can read the story of Jesus and understand it. In no way does it authorize or encourage the slaying of Jews. Why would God want his chosen people attacked for the rest of history? That is just ludicrous. He doesn't change His mind, they're still His people.
Jesus' death on the cross was the plan for the salvation of the world. If anything we should all be thanking the Jewish religious leaders for doing their part to fulfill the plan. Read the whole story before you start assigning off base blame for atrocities to a book that has nothing but true goodness to help us lead better lives.
Jesus was a Jew. He died a horrific death. We ALL killed him. Not just Jews, not just Romans. You killed Him and I killed Him.

well, take a look at the story of anne frank, for example. a regular jewish girl hiding with her family in an old house for several years until regular people give up the family's location to the nazis and she and her family all die in the death camps with the exception of her father. nobody knows who gave them away, but we do know why they did it. the people who sentenced the frank family to slow deaths were not the exception, they were the norm.
and then you have countries like denmark, which is probably the country with the lowest church attendance in europe, in which the king himself participated in smuggling countless jews out of denmark, saving the lives of most of the danish jews, and he and many of his subjects even wore the star of david patch themselves to show his defiance of the nazis and what they were doing.

Why do people like you insist on attacking and smearing things with such lies of which you know nothing about?
Christianity is not evil nor are Jews and you know it but what gets me is that people like you says such BS against Christianity and all like you have said here and you keep it going until somebody has had enough of your BS and then you attack them for standing up for what they believe in.
It is you and others like you who are the true evil here and if a christian does give you some backlash then it is quite obvious that you deserved it because none of what you have said here has any truth to it and you know it.
