for the first night get some sleeping pills and set your alarm both for the time you want to be. This will ensure you a habit for a while. Do this for a week. After that your body will adjust to your new schedule.

It's really a no brainer, stop hanging out with your nocturnal friends so much. Maybe save the night life for Friday or Saturday night. Get yourself in a routine of going to bed at 10 or 11pm and get up about 7:30 or 8:00 am. 7-8 hours of sleep is plenty. You sleep to long and you will be sluggish the rest of the day.

The number of hours is O.K. but to change the hours will be tough. Go to bed at night . You'll miss sleep for a few nights but make your self get up in the morning and you will eventually get back in a pattern. I went from going to bed at 10 or so to going to work at 10 and the first 3 days were killer!

Stop the late night hang out with friends. Get back on a regular routine as if you were working. Look for a new job during the day as your job until you find one. Eat meals at intervals as if you were working. Go to bed at a regular time as if you were working. Only go out and hang with friends on the weekend as if you were working. This way when you start working again, it will be an easy transition.

I had the same problem until I set my alarm to get up at 7 a.m. I would go out for a walk to really wake up, then make sure I stay awake until bed, around 10p.m. I was tired enough from getting up so early in the morning to fall asleep at a normal time.

Try taking an over the counter sleep aid or even Benadryl. Turn the TV off early and just go to bed.
