All the MS patients I've known were white, but that's only about 6. Here's one example of a lady who beat MS:

Sickle cell is genetic and it's a racial trait- primarily Black people but there is a Mediterranean strain as well.
In terms of MS, NO, not more prevalent in Blacks- here's a quote:
"MS is more common among Caucasians (particularly those of northern European ancestry) than other ethnic groups, and is almost unheard of in some populations"
and here is the source:

I have never known a Black person with MS and know a number of Caucasians with it. But that's anecdotal evidence so it's not statistically relevant.

Epidemiologically, Whites of Northern European descent are the largest group of MS sufferers, although Blacks and Hispanics are not immune. Certain groups have no history of MS, such as Inuit, Yakutes, Hutterites, Hungarian Romani, Norwegian Lapps, Australian Aborigines, and New Zealand Maoris.

Women are affected two to three times more than men.

Because it is a perdominant trait to the black/ african american community. I am mostly black, my dad is half white. There is a greater chance for some reason that i can not explain that we are more susceptible to it. It all has to do with geneology and traits.
