Please, no Bible quotes, as the Bible is irrelevent to me.

The earth is overpopulated. We have plenty of available land, but our resources are dwindling; temperatures are rising; the weather is getting more tempermental; our air quality is declining both to the exponential increase of pollution and the exponential destruction of forests.

With such cases in mind, is it worth it to produce offspring just because, according to some book, you are told to do so?

More people should adopt. There's a lot of children out there with no home, and I think that it would be better if we could take in some of them rather than "recklessly populating the earth," as you put it.

I know a woman who is in her early thirties and is going to give birth to a fifth fatherless child pretty soon. You know who's raising the other four (and quite possibly the fifth later)? The grandmother. The problem is that too many people abandon unwanted children and that no one is adopting.

If more people in America would adopt and if everyone would cut back on the unprotected sex, then the population (along with crime rate) would probably reduce drastically.

The Bible is relevant to you because in order to reason, you must assume the God of this Bible is, and it does tell us that reproduction is good. The problem is, many people trust what men say (the supposed authority) not what God says (the ultimate authority) and it is He who determines what will ultimately happen to men. But unless you repent, you shall likewise perish.

We have two kids. They will replace the two of us. We fell in love, got married, and have been blessed with children. Life is great. We also recycle, watch our energy use, spend wisely, and are good stewards to the earth. You'll thank my kids later when you're old.

I think it is pure vanity, nothing else. It is no great feat or virtue to impregnate someone and have a baby spat out nine months later. It has been done billions of times.

It is a waste of time to ask a rhetorical question. But we're all proud of your deep insight and obvious concern for humanity as a whole. You should run for president. You could outlaw procreation, and enjoy your place in history as the last president.

God created, so shall we. I would worry less about the resources of the planet and worry more about the morality and spirituality of the people in them. Let God worry about the planet, he made it, and he will destroy it soon!

What if you produce offspring because your hormones insist?

There are many reasons people decide to pro-create.

I think there will be more and more gay people - as the world overpopulates so yes, I think it's reckless and selfish of people to have children especially because so many are not wanted
