I have been going out with a lovely man for only 6 weeks, but would like to ask him if he would like kids one day, NOT NOW!!, but if its on his life plan. The reason is, i had a lovely bf for 3 years and never talked about this, then he asked me if i would consider having a baby and i said no. I just dont want to waste another 3 years, getting to know someone, only to realise that we dont want the same things! I already have 2 kids from a previous relationship.

You don't have to ask him straight out about kids. Just ask him what his longer term goals are. Just keep it casual and don't make him feel pressured.

I think you should find a way of asking him I wasted 10 years with someone to find out we had different ideas on how we should spend the rest of our life and now stuck on my own probably for the rest of my life

Six weeks in is very early to be thinking about kids at all, surely?
If you feel that strongly, you could let it be known that you're not thinking about having any more kids, that you're done in that department, and if he has strong feelings about wanting kids, he'll probably start to discuss it.
