I'm going to be flying across the country and back, and would like to buy some inexpensive noise canceling headphones that work well on jets, buses, etc.

Please don't bother recommending Bose or any others that cost well over $100. It ain't worth it to me.

These aren't noise cancelling, but they have a great padding which I love. Too bad my dog loved chewing on it too.

After those were broken, I bought TRUE noise cancelling, http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3223414 and didn't really notice a difference that was worth the $30 price tag, but they were marginally better.
