Jesus told us exactly how to love each other.
He told us, "Forgive others for their mistakes." Then he warned us. But no Bubba Preacher would ever give a sermon on Jesus' warning. Because if he did, he would lose his congregaton;
And just what was that warning? And it was also an insistence of real love, real compassion, real Christianity.
Jesus specifically said, "If you do not forgive others, your father in Heaven will not forgive you".
How can anyone expect to go to Heaven if God has not forgiven them?
Jesus' words not mine.
Conclusion: Anyone who holds a grudge, is not a harmony-loving person, Anyone who holds a grudge against anyone, has no hope of Heaven. No matter what Paul,or Peter, or Bubba preachers say.

added: Poor poor "Christine" - she has been preached an English translation of 1611, which was corrupted in 325AD to condemn homosexuality. I forgive her only because Jesus said to forgive others. But, doesn't anyone become suspicious of why the Bible would condemn a person"s sexual preference. Please go to you local college and talk to a Hebrew speaking professor. He or she will tell you that in Leviticus, in the orignal Hebrew text, the verse read completely different that the 325AD and the 1611 blatant, non accidental, misinterpretation and mis-translations.Wow, I am so sorry for homosexuals being discriminated against because some religious leaders wanted to build and grow their empires by propogation, and encouraging large families that raise future church members.

Dear bigots: I am not a homosexual. I simply wasn't born with that inclination. But, I am left-handed, and you are not. Should I feel guilty for eating my dinner with my left hand. Imagine that, I am a left-handed Christian. How is that possible

Poor Gary, He reads a corruption of a Bible verse, and then he difines sin. We must forgive him, but we need not agree with him. He can say the same about us.
So, what do we both have in common.
Surely, we both agree that "Disharmony is against the will of God."

The original Bible text said,
Moses wrote (Leviticus 18:12):
V’et zachar lo tishkav mishk’vey eeshah toeyvah hee."
idiomatic expressions to mean;
a married man should not spend sexual time with another man, because it would cause disharmony with his wife.
the original verse did not condemn homosexuality, it was condemning dis-harmony.

First of all you answered your own question. You separated Jesus as being the truth from every other Joe-not the truth.
The truth will set you free. In this day (today) An eye for an eye seems to be the normal response, totally against Jesus teachings, and look at all the eye for an eye's going on! it's enough to make the world blind.
Many lives have been lost with this eye for an eye thing.
Jesus was a pacifist, nobody in the world is peace, love, forgive, and forget right now and they won't go to heaven because they are in turmoil.
They will all die with avenging on their breath.

Maybe it is because I consider myself non-denominational, and I have always attended non-denominational churches, but I have been taught what you say from day one.
We are called to forgive, be loving, not to judge and to accept people for who they are. All sins are the same to God, and he prefers to wipe the chalkboard clean whenever you ask him. God always forgets everything that has already been forgiven (and so should we).
God also knows we are not perfect, and if we need help to forgive someone, he will give us the strength.
I know a lot of Christians give Christianity a bad name, and it makes me very very sad. Especially because if they read the bible, and saw the type of person Jesus was, they couldnt wear their WWJD bracelets anymore.
Jesus was kind, loved sinners and accepted each person individually regardless of their past.
We do have to renounce our sins and go forward in a way that would be pleasing to God. That is all he asks. To acknowledge his sacrifice and to live as Godly a life as possible.

As a non-Christian, I may not be able to answer this question. I will say that compassion, understanding and forgiveness is common to many belief systems. There are many sexual acts that I do not care to see in public. What goes on between adults in privacy ought to be no ones business.

You make a lot of sense, my friend. You speak calmly, and logically - which is more than so many here can claim. I am not one to judge, that falls to the creator, and only he can answer this. However, if I were in a position to judge, I would not allow those hateful, unforgiving, intolerant people into my home. I agree with you. 110%. Well spoken, and well done.

LOL I asked myself that same question every time my ex boss's wife would spew racial slurs while wearing this baubly necklace with a little framed picture of Jesus on it. I'm sure Jesus was real thrilled with her frequent tirades regarding anyone who wasn't white, while wearing his image around her neck.

Why are you so angry? Do you not realize grudges are let go of? Sins are forgiven? We're not perfect? Get the chip off your shoulder man.
