I mean all of the people in the military that go over seas for 8-12 months at a time. I've been away from my gf for 7 months and i don't think i can take it any longer... If i have to I'll walk over to her place...(which is over 1000 miles away) any advice for me?

Know that you're not alone in how you feel, she probably feels the same way about you. Do things "together." put the same DVD movie in at the same time and "watch" it while on the phone with each other. Snailmail is great. Be strong, you're not the only person who's ever done it. Be around other people in LDR's (long distance relationships).

I think that these are one of the many tests God puts out there for you. If you love someone you will wait for them no matter how long it takes. My husband is currently on a year deployment and I miss him so much. I know its hard at times, but just try doing stuff to keep you busy and time will hopefully pass by quick. Good luck!

By looking at photographs of your love one, writing letters, sending emails, telephone calls, and counting the days of your return..

Also have you heard of this phrase, ""Absence makes the Heart grow fonder" Some people say that this is true..

What is it you actually miss?

The military no longer puts anything in their food other than bootcamp and they may not there any more.
