In my interpretation of Genesis 11:6, God was afraid of mankind and hated our ability to do anything we set our minds to. In response he scattered people all over the world and made them speak different languages. Then, in Revelations, it's the Antichrist that unites mankind.

Why is the unification of mankind seen as evil?

God doesn't hate the unification of mankind and in fact wants it to be. But that unification must be one in which mankind recognizes its creator and the society that its creator desires for them. In the case of the story of Babel, man was unified, but in defiance of God. God, in his mercy, confused their language rather than destroy them outright. Now, almost 4000 years later, mankind must strive to rebuild that unity, but in righteousness, not evil.

Why was God afraid? He was afraid for our benefit. You have to read all of it, before and after to understand. Man(kind) became so evil that those who were staying clean (so to speak) were giving in to the evil. This would have led to our ETERNAL destruction. God wanted us to Live. In Revelation, the Antichrist unites mankind and then turns on them, read it to the end. The Antichrist makes promises and then welshes and FORCES everyone to do things his way or die. Sounds like a great leader, huh? If you really are searching for answers, this is the wrong place! Keep reading the Bible and God will direct you.

God intended for everyone to be ONE even beast and foul go back and read a little bit more of Genesis. Also we are not unitied because Adam and Eve ate from that tree and everyoe questions God now and free will is really free will. the anti-christ is just that Against Christ and wants us to be unified so that those who have a week faith or do not believe can believe in him and go to as the Bible says go to hell. (that is what the Bible says Danielle did not say that) Unification is not evil it is the person that leads the people astray that is.

Because whenever it happens mankind rejects God, they believe that if they can unite together they can defeat God. Whenever you see men coming together, and languages becoming universal, and money systems etc. it always turns to evil but this world system is satanic in form for that is who is pushing all such unification!

Unification for selfish reasons is the key. A unified Church is a good thing to God. It is about denying self, and caring for others.
God has our best interest at heart.
And God has never feared anything.

I do not know what are God's plans on unification of mankind. But I do know one thing: God does not hate anything or anybody.

Because Mankind tends to think of itself as a God capable of doing anything.

Or the story of the Towel of Babel is a way of ancient people explaining why there are different languages in the world.

I suspect the 'problem' (then, now, and the future) a is not the unification of man; but man (part of the creation) surpassing the Creator; God.

Because the more people unified, the stronger they themselves become. The problem with this kind of unity is that it will not be a pure one, there will be many whose beliefs will be crushed and many who will be persecuted for not obeying "the one government". We will be forced to become ONE, even if we do not agree.

When the world is unified, they will challenge God once again like they did at Babel. (Yes, they were building a tower to overthrow God).

It is all done under the umbrella of pride. People used to have the notion that they needed kings to be safe and live a life apart from God. Todays myth, is we need to be in a league of peaceful nations living pridefully apart from God and that angers him obviously. Pride is a sin and one that God doesnt tolerate for long, especially from men who think they are better than he.
