NO, NO, NO, NO!!!

If you need to bath the kitten just use luke warm water and if shes super dirty (ie grease or anything else that water won't get rid of) then use a specially formulated kitty wash from a pet store or the vet.

It's is good to get them used to water and baths for the odd time that they really need it but generally a wet face washer should do the trick. They are pretty good at keeping themselves clean so don't go overboard or you may destroy the PH balance on their skin.

Better to use cat/kitten shampoo if she's dirty enough to need a bath. If not, I would use a baby-shampoo since it's pH balanced, very gentle, and doesn't sting the eyes.

That being said I used dish soap on my cat after I caught him playing in the fireplace. (Yes the fire was out, but it was full of soot) I just used it on his back and belly, not anywhere near his face. But dishsoap is harsh so I would not use it on a kitten.

You shouldn't have to wash your cat unless he is really, really dirty. Most cats can clean themselves perfectly well.

Yes it is but dont do it too often for it will dry them out and kittens dont like baths. I had four kittens last year that needed baths bad due to the house I took them out of that was basically a cess pool of germs, dirt and pooo. I washed them with Suave shampoo smoothie and I bought horse eye wash from Big R to clean their eyes. Afterwards you can use a wash cloth with baby wash to clean their butts if they cant do it themselves. Johnson and Johnson is best. No tears for them or you.

NO, do not bathe an animal with human shampoo. If you must bathe them and you cannot go get specific shampoo for kittens, please use a VERY small amount of mild dish soap like dawn. Rinse very thoroughly, and wrap in warm towels afterwards.

I wouldn't , they have kitty shampoo designed for kittens and their sensitive fur. However, kittens are not usually bathed, they catch a chill easily and become ill.

No. If the kitty is soiled, use a wet handtowel to wipe off any dirt. Cats generally do not get bathed.

i groom pets for a living and while human shampoo isn't recommended, if you don't use it regularly, it is okay. cats skin has a different ph level than a humans. it's better for them to use a shampoo expressly for cats and kittens
