My period is usually very heavy starts heavy and stays that way for a while. This time it started very spotty and took two days just to require protection. Still very very light...some very small clots. I am just wondering is this could possibly be implantation bleeding? Just wondering? I have a call into my DR but you know how long they could take getting back to me. I have never heard or implantation lasting this long but you never know till you ask...

The doctors go by a norm for pregnancies so that doesn't mean other things are not possible. The only way to know if you are pregnant is to take a pregnancy test. Just incase you wanted to know, a blood test is the most accurate test and the most sensitive (it can tell you if you are pregnany 48 hours after the sperm meets the egg). Ask for that one if it is really important but they can be expensive, if you are willing to wait, urin tests are pretty acurate if you follow the directions, taking one now and another in a few weeks if the first one comes up negative.
A lot of women still have their first period when they are pregnant and a few women can have a regular period the whole pregnancy. Its just the norm for women not to have a period.
So if this was your regular cycle, there is no way to tell unless you test. If you are ovulating, the norm for that is 14 days before your period (not after like a lot of people think) but again that is the norm. You can actually ovulate anytime (even on your period). The winow for getting pregnant when you ovulate is 3-5 days, depending on the temp and flow of your body.
So is it a light period or ovulation, there really is no way to know unless you get tested. Your doctor won't even be able to tell you, you will have to go in. Godd luck!
