Minus a few answers from loving people like Christine, Boppysgirl, and a couple others, have convinced me that Jesus has not helped you guys at all.
So many of you are so judgmental it just breaks my heart. I try to convince myself that a lot of Christians do try to be like Jesus, that they really get the message of the teachings, and that they are peaceful, spiritual, loving people.
But I was obviously wrong. Most of you are no more like Jesus than anyone else, perhaps even less so because of the pedestals you seem to have put yourselves on.
I hope you all learn to truly follow Jesus' teachings, until then, I will continue to have hope for you.
Are there any of you that care? Honestly?

I think judgement of other's sins is a far worse sin, and seperates one from Jesus far more than any regular sin.
How did Jesus get his point across? He was a living example. He lived his beliefs. He may have said vaguely that people who commit certain sins are wrong but he didn't pick on people.

Sadly, many do seem to have placed themselves on pedestals. If they do harm their excuse is 'we're not perfect, sorry'. Yet they must see the intent behind their responses.
I wonder if thinking that they can do anything they want, repent at the last moment and still not go to their hell makes them that way?

Hey I'm not christian but i do understand what you are talking about, like so many christians say, oh i believe in god and i love him and worship him, yet everyday, i see one of them laughing at a mental person or being racist towards another, when they're supposed to be loving and everything. I know that human error is a fact here, but common sense people. I have met some good christians, and a whole lot of bad ones, who seem to think that shoving a bible down your throat is neccessary for you to be loved by god. No offense to all my mormon and christian friends out there =^.^=

Yes,we care.Unfortunately,Yahoo Answers doesn't seem to have a good cross section of the Christian community. Most Christians do follow the teachings of Jesus, but there certainly are some who disregard everything He said and are only full of themselves.

Personally I think there are many Christians that care about others, you included
However do you expect people to compromise their beliefs because you find them hurtful?
When sin is pointed out in someones life it isn't judging it's giving them the chance they need to repent and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Sin is SIN, over eating, envy, greed, lust and the list goes on.
They all serve to separate us from God and Jesus Christ.

I am sorry for any damage caused.
Most Christians try to the best of their ability to follow Jesus' teachings. We are still human, however. We screw up often.

God alone judges, and my apologies.
Love God, Love others as yourself.
The two greatest commandments.
We strive, but we all fall short.
That's the definition of a Christian.
Screwed-up, forgiven, and if anyone thinks they have arrived, they have have missed the point.

Sadly, many of these threads are full of disingenuous questions and hostile answers. Many just come here to pick fights and cause trouble and many more are willing to give it to them -- some because they get tired of the anti-religious hostility, and others because they just are hostile themselves.
