It appears to look like a burn - but my husband says that he hasn't burned himself.

A bombadier beetle can actually scald a person with its spray.

Also, I have been bitten by fire ants and the bites would look like tiny burns after a few days.

A spider bite can look like a burn. Their venom can cause all sorts of skin problems and irritations, especially the brown recluse.

that's called ring work Go to Google and type it in ,There it will show you pictures and tell you what it is from.My Son has it at the moment but his is small as a dime,It can grow very large in size.and he may need to see a Dr. it is an infection of some kind.and contagious.

It could be a spider bite. A brown recluse spider bite. Can get worse monitor area. P.S. Most doctors do not know anything about spider bites.
