My boyfriend just asked me to marry him. I am planning a summer time wedding. I am not going traditional. I want a pink wedding dress. The problem is that I really don't have any time to go shopping for a dress. I mean between college and work my schedule is basically booked.
Does anyone out there know of an online site where I can possibly find the dress of my dreams.

I WOULD NOT suggest buying online. It is way to important a thing to last minute have a dress that you hate when its one or doesnt fit right. I have not been to a bridal shop yet or seen anywhere online that lets you return any type of dress or get a refund. Best bet is to look at dresses on line find the ones you like and go into the store to try them on. Will save a little time and ALOT of hassel. GOOD LUCK!

There are lots of sites you can use but I think in the long run you will be better off going to a shop. For instance, my sister is normally a size 6, but gown is a size 12. Formal dresses run weird sizes. Also, you will very rarely find a dress online that fits you like a glove, you are going to have to get alterations. I would suggest looking at sites that carry bridesmaid dresses, find one you like and find a salon that carries it and go try it on. That will be the best way to get one in pink and some bridesmaid dresses look like wedding gowns, trains and everything! Also, lots of places won't alter a gown unless you have bought it from them, so I really suggest you look into finding a bridal shop.

Try Modern Bride...or even craigslist. The problem with buying a dress online is that it might not fit well and you will have to spend time getting it altered. If there's a store that you always shop at and know that their clothes fit you "to a T", then look on their website for fancy dresses. Good Luck. Also, most of the wedding gowns come in many colors - not just one.

If you are that busy then maybe you don't have time for the summer wedding. You should wait until you have the time, this is your wedding and enjoy all the stress and fun that goes with planning a wedding. Even if you order on line you still have to be fitted, I suggest you look through a catalog and pick out the dress you want and have someone to make it for you. Congrats and slow down and enjoy life and husband too be. (Oh read a book call The Proper Care & Feeding of Marriage by Dr. Laura Schlessinger)

Go to www.google.com and type in wedding dress. It's really not hard. You'll find hundreds of retailers and you can customize things online. However, I would definately recommend at least deciding on a style beforehand or have in mind what you want or you could be looking all day. What I would do is go out on like the weekend or something and just try on different styles, doesn't have to be the dress of your dreams but once you narrow that down it will be much easier to narrow down your choices.. and definately make sure you try it on before you buy it.. Good luck, and congratulations!

I would really suggest that you find time to go try on at least a few dresses...even if it is a local shop..just so yo uget an idea of what you like on yourself and THEN order online according to the size you need. Often wedding dresses run smaller then normal dresses. try to book an evening appointment to go into a store and try some one. in the end this will really help you look beautiful and feel special on your day. congrats!

I ended up buying mine on eBay (I had purchased one through Alfred Angelo but some health problems started and the meds I was prescribed made me gain weight that I'm still trying to lose) so I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. The dress was custom sized for me and it fit perfectly without needing any alterations (I got the Capri Milly which looks exactly like Maggie Sottero's Capri). You can get your dress in any color you want. Good luck and Congrats!! The place I got it from is http://stores.ebay.com/Cinderellas-Bridal-Shop

I don't know about a pink dress but Nordstrom has some really nice and simple wedding dresses online. You could also look through some fashion mags and then have someone make the dress you really want. If you are going to do this, get thicker material. Trust me, no one wants to see your navel through your dress. You could also find the dress you like and then have it died pink.

David's Bridal is a great start. They have virtual dresses so you can kind of get an idea of what it will look like on you. I know you're busy, but I would take a couple of hours and actually try on dresses tho. What they look like online, and what they look like on you are two different things. You'll be glad you did.
Congrats and good luck!

maggiesottero.com has some very beautiful dresses and quite a few that are colors other than white. :) I REALLY like the dress 'Suzanne'. My sister in law tried it on when she was looking for dresses and it is so breathtaking in person!

congrats on the engagement!
