Why is it that some christans disagree with the holy spirit? Like speaking in toungs?

some christans dont belive that the holy spirit is real. Why do u think that is?

I don't know. The Holy Spirit is all powerful since he is God anyway.

Few churches deny the Holy Spirit is real. The issue is more about the nature and behavior of the Holy Spirit.

Unfortunately, fear of the unknown and the discomfort of giving up control cause many to ignore the topic alltogether.

To be fair, though, there are many people and groups that take behaviours such as speaking in tongues out of context and do things to make themselves look holy. The balancing line is in the word, and both extremes miss the mark.

I'm Christian and Catholic, and I believed the Holly Spirit is real, also I believed that the Holly spirit its God, own form of Spiritual entity, that he achieve when he became part of this material World, first because the Spiritual entities where the cause which God will look forward the free from the matter's, of this material world. Though, the need to listen to our own spirit, an spiritual entity, in our work, because between spirits they can communicate, and that is what the holly spirit does it communicate to each and all the Spirits, God's news, my spirit will listen to the Holly Spirit, though I need to be under God's grace for my self to be able to mistake the massage the holly spirit will relied from God to my own Spirit, until I can learn enough and be pure enough to talk to Jesus my self.? so where we disagree? Only the presence of God and the Holly spirit on earth and close by the spirit in question, in all Holiness, can allow an individual to rely speak in tongs?, I understand tha some of the prophesies said, that in this time there will be many peoples speaking in tong's, and although I bealived in some of the prophecies I believed this one is the one that you have to bealieved, is been use by the false prophets!!!!!!!!!!! there is two way's of understandings, and this is one of then. ask fore God guidance don't just bealieved in everything someone may which to say, expecially if someone try to teach you or have ofert you to teach you how to speck in tong's?????, my dear those are false prophets!!!! speaking in tongs CAN"T BE KNown, it becomes natural.

The Holy Spirit is real. What some of us doubt is the gibberish that some do when in a group. That, IMO, comes from the person, not from God.

Because they have never experienced how it is to be filled with the holy spirit. Also, when you speak/pray in tongues you are actually filled by the holy spirit. It is one of the 5-9 abilities you are given, when you are filled by the holy spirit. They are also probably scared to be overcome by it, which can be related to their disbelief.

That is due to the fact that Christianity provides poor understanding of scriptures and leaves every one involved to make their own intrepretation of the word. Example: If you can find the word Rapture in The Bible...then let me know. If you can find any where in The Bible where it tells you celebrate Easter and Christmas then let me know and I will join in on the celebration. Those are pagan holidays...Has nothing to do with Bible. Those days have nothing to do with the birth or the death of The Messiah.

I think they don't beleive because they can't see it. They have a lack of faith. We are in the age of information and what people can't see or touch doesn't exist. Maybe too much science?

they don't believe because they've not been taught about Him & they're afraid of what they don't understand. i've heard of some denominational ministers saying that speaking in tongues is satanic.

Because most Christians don't believe that phenomena that have occurred can be replicated at will. Because something happened, doesn't mean that you or I can do it.
