I am aware that you dont have to be starving to eat them and yes I do eat raw oysters, I am just imagining the first person who picked up the shell and decided...Oh this Looks yummy.

Actually I think eating raw oysters would come before eating it cooked, don't you think? ancient man was not picky nor had enough time. But a lot of foods you could wonder about that.

i imagine they've been eaten for a long time, as they were probably rather convenient for folks who lived next to the ocean. a lot of people think they taste spectacular, so i guess they wouldn't relate to your supposing you have to be starving in order to eat one! also they are a famous aphrodisiac.

I don't know but I'm glad he did! They rule! On a cracker with hot sauce and horseradish!!!!!! But remember...if you are in Florida only eat them in the months that have an "R" in it....September thru April! Otherwise you could get sick!!
