It seems I've seen alot of people hang on to the mormon religion, even after they are convinced that the doctrines are wrong. They do so for family peace, politics, not wanting to rock the boat or whatever. Are any of you in this situation? Is their anyone who goes to church and "pretends" to be a good mormon, though your heart isn't in it?

It is necessary that you are sincere to yourself. To be or not to be sincere towards others may be a matter of contingent "strategy". It is necessary to think more about what is right and what is not right, about what is fair and what is not fair. Of course one-self must come first. That which gives you peace, fulfilment and happiness - that is what is good for you. If not, you must definitely fiercely seek new ways.

I dated a girl that wavered a bit. Her faith was always strong enough to make her feel bad about sleeping with me, each time, even though she initiated it.
