RECYCLING COMPANY GETS PAID FROM RATE PAYERS VIA THE COUNCIL FOR COLLECTING CARDBOARD AND PLASTIC BUT INSTEAD OF RE USING MATERIALS IS DUMPING IT IN ITS OWN PRIVATE LANDFILL,SO MUCH FOR A GREENER COUNTRY. IS IT COUNCILS PAYING FOR LANDFILLS THROUGH THE BACK DOOR AND MASSAGING THE RECYCLING FIGURES SO THEY DON,T GET FINED FROM THE EU.

sita have a few landfill sites, as you say though these big companies like biffa and sita dont recycle and take straight to landfill. your best bet is to use a smaller company as they cant afford not to recycle. i work for a skip hire/ trade waste company and we recycle about 80% of what comes out of the skips as for the trade waste, glass is lifted by cullet merchants we take away stuff that can only go to landfill and cardboard is collected seperatly and taken for recycling. everything we recycle the company gets paid for and thats how we make our money

Most of the trash is shipped to third world countries where it is dumped in landfills that aren't even regulated. The whole process is a crime and a waste of stuff that could be
