The Gospel of Thomas? Hmmm, not familiar with that one, if it's not a King James version then I'm a little lost. But here are my thoughts.

God is "omnipresent" which means he is everywhere at every moment, all the time. He is the Kingdom of Heaven, he is all things. Don't think of God as this celestial being up above because then you limit him to just "being up above". Think of him in a "whole" way.

For example if the earth is a huge pie, he doesn't just occupy the upper-crust or a big slice, he is the pie, he is the table that the pie is sitting on. If you and I are the fruit in the pie, then he also occupys us. He is simply everything.

Does that makes sense?

It is a profound statement suggesting that you really open your eyes, or wake up from your dreams about life and really see it. Many of the parables of Jesus are appeals to observe the world, such as look at the lilies of the field, the birds, the children, or even the mustard seed. If you can actually be still enough inside, the Truth of the Creation is right in front of you, and in your every cell. It is just because people don't see it or believe it that they go looking all around for the Truth. Those who have been the most profound among us have tried in many different ways to say this same simple message. In India it was said You are that. In China the answer to what is Truth was "The Cypress Tree in the courtyard."

the kingdom o heaven is with in you means that Jesus leaves inside of you if you are saved. That is how Jesus' words live on because we as people have it inside of us. When you get saved Jesus come into your heart and if you maintain the relationship you of course gets closer to him. As far as the kingdom of heaven is all around you.. that means find the Jesus in ever person that you come across and in everything that you do. The split a piece of wood and I am there..,.means that Jesus is everywere and in everything even the most simple things as wood and stones. Hope that this helps.

Since the prior verse (Luke 17:20) says the kingdom "comes not with observation," he must then mean in v.21 that the kingdom is spiritual. But Christ is not saying the kingdom is everywhere, such as in a rock.

It means that kingdom of heaven is NOT a physical place. It is the non physical energy that flows through you, me, and everything else in the universe.

Chinese call this energy ch'i, Japanese call this energy Ki, Cherokee call this energy nuwati, Hawaiians call it mana.

If you can still the mind; you can experience the energy first hand via energy work (reiki, Qigong, yoga, the Kabbalah, etc.

The "gospel of Thomas' was not inspired by the Holy Spirit of God...that is why it is not included in any of the Canons.

That is why only the Kooks like DaVinci Delusion crowd are the only ones who read it.

omg why are Christians soo DENSE... Jesus is tell you all here that you DO NOT need CHURCHES or TEMPLES to relate or worship GOD, that he is INSIDE YOU and ALL AROUND YOU hence worship can be done anywhere... which is bad for the collection plate on Sunday s ughh LISTEN TO WHAT "HE" said NOT what "they" say about him.

God is all around, and everywhere. We are all a part of each other. We are all connected, and we all belong to God. The latter scripture means that God is always with you no matter what you are doing, and no matter how mundane it may seem.

God can always be found if you are watching and paying attention.

The "gospel of Thomas" is heresy and is not the Word of God. Don't believe it.

As far as the kindgom of heaven "in your midst" (that is what Jesus said), Jesus was telling the UNBELIEVING Pharisees that the kingdom of God was in their midst, in other words, it is through Jesus alone that someone can enter heaven, and only by faith in Jesus can they do so. To not believe is to lead yourself to eternal hell.
