My chihuahua seems to be posing when she stands still. She will hold up one paw and just stand there looking adorable. I know her leg is not hurt, she has done it with each foot. I have seen other chihuahuas do this too.

Sometimes the little cuties have hurt their paw at one time. Lifting their legs may have gotten them attention.....or the little fella just knows you find it gives you the warm fuzzies. Which in turn seems to give them the same feeling. My sis and I both have what they call Chipins. Chihuahua X Min pins.
They both seem to pose as well. Maybe we can call it a draw at either answer. All the same, if it makes you happy, She has done her breeds new job wonderfully! Enjoy her, we sure enjoy our little sweeties.

the do this as a sign of waiting to see if she is doing something good or bad. once you tell a dog that is so cute, they usually do it more and more. a lot of chihuahua do it and they are so cute and l think they know it's cute and it is cute.

lol! my chihuahua does that too! i think it's either they want the owner to be happy and amused or....thier legs are tired.....hard to tell! it's cute though...

It's ok my japenese CHin does the same thing well at least one of them does. When he hears somebody coming he puts his paw up and his ears up. I know how you feel i start screaming and shouting myy puppy is to cute and ill give him a treat .
