As far as movies do not freak them out with the left behind movies show them something that they can relate to more like "A Walk to Remeber" Everyone can relate to love and that could be a way to bring it up because God is love. Tell them that you are not perfect and that it is a daily struggle to do good. ALso let them now that being a Christian does not mean you can not have fun anymore. The biggest thing to let them know is that the change does not come over night you have to work at it constanly. It is like a relationship you get out what you put into it. Also if they do decide to get saved...lead them to a church that teaches them how to walk with Christ and there is not a lot of codeming because a lot of churches who claim to love everyone really don't and have thier own standards of what a Christian should and should not be. Make sure that they read and study the Bible for themselves and understand it for themselves because it will help when they go to church. Tell them that it will be hard because the devil will always try to tempt them to do wrong but they must do right. But you say this to them...this is what my grandma always tells me" Baby when the devil is on you that is how you know you are doing right" Always tell the truth even if it leads to your death and always do the right thing even though others critisize you. Hope that this helps sorry so long.

This website has some good tips : http://www.christiananswers.net/evangelism/home.html
As for showing them the movies,I would suggest inviting your friends over for a movie afternoon with snacks, comfy seats etc. There are points in all of those movies that you can use to discuss Christianity and what it means, so that would be a good opportunity to bring your faith up,if they seem interested. But make sure that you're not pushy. You should lead by example, they should be able to see in your life what a difference your faith makes.Make sure they know that you are always happy to answer questions about God for them. You can't force a convert.

i am not a christian.. but try showing one movie it does not matter how many you try to show as you will get your answers from the first movie dont try and force religion on to people or they will resent it let it be a open topic gather there thoughts be it good or be it bad ..

why not say its part of a school / college topic research and ask them to help you by watching a christian movie and take part in a interview to see what peoples reactions are about christian movies by you doing the interview you can take the lead and perhaps get the answers from them that you are trying to find

good luck

try http://juststopandthink.com

it's done in an understandable fashion, and not full of "christianese" lingo.

you can point, but the most important thing is they see Christ in you. Only God saves. We can just testify to the truth, and be sure to disciple them. Having someone make a decision for Christ, and then patting them on the back and saying "have a nice day" is not the great commission.

Again - I think you need to chill out a bit.

God loves your friends way more than you do and he's already showing himself to them in some way or another.

A really big shift in understanding evangelism is when you realise that it's not us trying to make our friends christians (it feels as if you're not really doing the friendship part then)... but the real way it works is that we get to join in with God's work in their lives.

Keep your eyes out for the ways that God is already revealing himself to them (what spiritual stuff are they already interested in - even if it's not Christian?) then be posetive because God could be in that somewhere and offer to help them go deeper by introducing them to something you find helpful in your own faith.

This way you get to be you and God gets to be God.

If you want something more concreat why don't you think about running an Youth Alpha course for them after school. You can get a great pack with videos and discussion questions etc

However the main point is to find out what questions they are really asking not just say the things that you feel you should tell them about God.

So in summary - don't stress, It's God who is working in their lives to bring them to himself and show them how great he thinks they are (and how much he loves you too!) - we just get to join in his stuff.

The question is not so much "What would Jesus do?" but "What IS JESUS DOING?" - we believe Jesus is resurected and active in the world through the Holy Spirit right?

... hope things go well for you little sis,
x

I had the equivalent undertaking, then settled on: "congratulations to the parents on the christening of MY new niece/nephew (or an same)" fairly some kisses and fairly some others. The gesture replaced into as quickly as favored. solid solid fortune.

Forget the movies. You need to pray. Find out what God says. Find out His will. Let Him lead you. Please forget your own ideas.
Just be willing to go along with what God reveals to you. You must read, study and digest the Bible for it is His word, His truth and His directions. Through it He will reveal and speak to you. Do you believe Him? I said do you believe Him, not do you believe in Him.

As you seek to find out God's will and to do such as He leads you, as you strive against your own corruption and foolishness, as you deny self and daily take up your cross and follow, as you believe what you read and become obedient to His word, to Him, THEN you will bear fruit, real, true fruit that He grows and provides. He has works for you to walk in please don't obstruct those with your own and man's foolish ideas. No, go to Him and abide in Him.

Do you have faith? Then live by it. If apart from what the Father showed Him even Christ could do nothing and did nothing, what are you doing showing films? Are not films man's work? From what I have seen of them they would definitely put off anyone who is serious. Follow Christ, you are not greater than Him, not even equal to Him. Better to do nothing and wait on God than try doing it yourself. It is God Who is going to do it, must do it anyway if anything is going to be done.

Don't try to get Him to do what you think but try to get you to do what He thinks.

Forget what others say and do. Pursue God. When you are taken up with, filled up with Christ how can that not have an effect?

Remember it is God Who works not you. Your work is to do His will. It is the work of God that you believe this.

If you care for your friends that much you will not go your own way but God's.

I hope I have made it clear.

Sure. I hope You have Omega Code Parts 1 & 2, those are good starters..... Time is getting real short. You could make it pot luck, make some invitations to your movie night, have a raffle at your place...Decorate for the occassion. Tell them what it is and get the popcorn started. Have your own concessions! Much success!

Hun people are people, whilst you should be commended for your convictions. You would run the risk of making yourself an outcast. Harsh as it may seem people will find god in their own way. My personal beleif the bible states "god created man in his own image and likeness" for me that is the people who surround you, look after you and care for you!! If you look after the people around you then you are praising the Lord!

Hope this help and bless you

try the left behind ones first since they do have quite a lot of entertainment value alon with the message why not ask your Pastor if he would be interested in showing them on a weekday at church it would attract some folks if they could go see a movie for free!
