What is a unique way that you were proposed to?

My husband proposed on Christmas Eve. I had already opened the ring but thought it was a "promise ring". Then I noticed 3 small gifts under the tree. The first was a tire guage, the second was a chocolate mint bar, the third was the letter "N". At first I didn't get it, and then I realized it was a puzzle:
"N" - "Gage" - "Mint"

We were at a karaoke bar. He sang a love song about saving up to buy a ring. Just before he got to that part, he came to where I was sitting and pulled the ring box out of his pocket. The karaoke bar went wild.
I was in front of 100 to 150 people, mostly strangers, some friends and I did not know what to do. I wanted to run away but I sat there and let him put the ring on my finger. Everyone came to me that night to see the ring and wish us well.
When we left the karaoke bar a couple hours later, I gave him back the ring. I had no intention of marrying him. This was his last ditch effort to keep me from breaking off the relationship. He knew he put me on the spot and figured I would have to say yes.
Well...it didn't work.

My husband proposed on Christmas day 2005 in our unfinished house that we were in the process of building. His parents had stopped by earlier and left us a few xmas gifts along with a little scavenger hunt. It led us to a little ceramic santa music box with the ring in it! It was great! Afterwards, we went to his parents house to celebrate and my Dad and stepmom had flown in to celebrate!! It was so cool....

im only 14 but a friend was proposed to at exactly 12:00 midnight new years eve.

My fiance proposed to me at Thanksgiving in front of his entire family. We all had sat down for dinner and went around the table saying what we were thankful for and my fiance was the last one. He got up, started saying how thankful he was for having me, got down on one knee and pulled out a diamond ring. I was shocked. Now Thanksgiving will be extra special for us.

I was never really proposed to... my husband just came home with a marriage license one day and asked when we were going to make it legal...lol

I wasn't proposed to. He just introduced me as his fiancee at a party. I just looked at him kind suprised and smiled. 4 months later we were married and we've been married 8 years.

my boyfriend took me under a gazibo and kneeled down and said Leanna will you marry me and i was taken by surprise and i was so happy but there was just so much on my mind and i blurted no .. i felt bad .. i tried to give him an explination but he just walked away .. i felt bad
