YES!!!

I used lots of products before Pro-Activ and never really had much success... The first 2 weeks of using it, I almost quit, because my skin was a little irritated, however after that point it began to clear up drastically.

The big thing is following the directions completely. Also make sure to drink lots of water during the day, this helps rid the body of toxins and helps to clear the acne as well.

Pro Active worked for the first couple of months I used it. It didn't clear my pimples completely...it just reduced it. Actually, Pro Actie isn't expensive. I think it's running about $19.95 now.

You should consult your family doctor. Trying to meet with a dermatologist can take up time (there are waiting lists in some areas). Doctors prescribe the same medication that dermatologists do so it's very convenient. And if you do decide to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist, you're likely to see the assistant first.

Good luck.

havent tried pro-active personally, but any topical cream wash or treatment can only go so far, acne is usually to do with hormones so look at your diet as well as anything else. Also try a home micro-dermabrasion kit, the loreal one is pretty good, exfoliating regularly gets rid of dead skin cells and bacteria which might breed on the surface.

eh, I used it once at a friends house and it cleared up my skin very nicely....then when I bought it I didn't really notice anything (although my mother insists it was working).

thinking back it might have been the drier climate at my friends place that cleared my skin (I notice climate and temperature can have alot to do with it).

my dermatologist said it was good because of the benzoyl peroxide content but that face wash doesnt play a big role as far as breakouts go. He said some scientists did a study once that showed one group of acne prone people next to another (one group that washed their face with facewash one who just used water) and the results weren't much different....

If you have super oily skin and crazy breakouts I would give it a try because it really dries your face out which normaly is bad on any other types of skin.

goodluck!

Works for me but it's not a miracle. The stuff works as good as sulphur soap combine with the use of mild face scrub, and they are much cheaper.

Pro Active doesn't work for me.

Go to your dermatologist they can probably help you the most.

It works on some people, it won't be the same for everyone. It didn't work for me, but I have some friends that it worked really well on.

the refining mask worked for me, i used it one night before i went to bed and it killed like 8 of my zits overnight. but i have never religiously used the 3 step system. i use clinique's 3 step system and it works good for me but my skin still gets zits once and a while!
