we have tried to get back together but everytime we do he says im more serious than he is and he needs to take a step back to think things thru because hes not sure im the one yet, he needs to date more etc.....this has been going on for over a yr. i want him to just leave me alone because it hurts me everytime he texts me....but at the same time i wish he'd just make up his mind! he is 28 and iam 22....what is his deal? ps he does say he loves me etc but hes just "confused"!

it's going to hurt...but you need to leave him alone. it doesn't take someone a year to figure out whether or not they date someone. it sounds like he's playing on your emotions because he knows that you really do care about him. he wants to have the cake (date other girls) and eat it, too (come back to you).
if you really want him to leave you alone and not text you....then change your number and cut off all communication with him.

He loves knowing that you're always there, should his "confusion" ever end. I'm sorry, but this guy is keeping you close enough to be a backup plan, but too far away to be a girlfriend. And texting is about the most casual way to communicate with someone. Stop responding.

Okay that guy is never going to grow up seriously..... YOu need to just let him go he is never going to leave you alone because your his fall back he knows that you'll always be there and you are stop being a fool and move on you know everytime you try it it never works out what are u standing around 4?
