time square about 4 blocks away. i stayed there ,the place is old but OK. nights the street noise echoes between the buildings. the room was small and old but was good for the price. they guard the elevators for your safety. i had a sandwich in the deli in the lobby got me for 20 bucks, cover charge.two doors down was mcdonolds that was bad.walking the streets outside during the day felt safe.the second time was hotel st.james 109 w. 45th. old under remodel but i liked it better. nice delis beside it, roch center close, i liked location better. hotelstjames@gmail.com

The Milford Plaza. It's right there on 45th St right at Times Square. It's not four star, rooms are a bit small, and not too pricey. You might as well go for it.

I stayed in the Super 8 Times Square. It was decent for the price. It's not the Waldorf, but wasn't bad. Walking Distance to Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, Grand Central, subways.
Click the link below and see for yourself. Search for Super * Times Square. Be sure to check the Candid Traveller Photos. They show the real deal, not what the hotel wants you to see. You can find other NYC hotels there too.

hi,
Ive been looking at this hotel also. Go to tripadvisor.com and look at the reviews. They are pretty good. It is right smack dab in the middle of Times Square. Also, go to milfordplaza.com, they are doing a special rate.
