I am on a nuerological drug called lamictal for epilespy. I read that it also is used for bi-polar patients. Would it change my personality and mood swings so I'm not the same as what i was before i started taking it? I am now 18, and started on it when i was 17

It would probably effect the degree of your moods, but whether those changes are enough to effect your personality only you know the answer to that.

It won't change your personality! I take Lamictal for bipolar and it didn't change mine, except for controlling the mood swings (a definite improvement). If you've been on it for a year, you would already seen changes if they were going to happen.

Bipolar drugs of any sort don't *change* your personality, they just regulate your moods. Do you think you're moodier than before? It could just be because you're a teenager. I take it for bipolar and I love it. If it helps you for your epilepsy, then why question it?
